Export

alphaTab is a two-way street. A score that came in as MusicXML can leave as a .gp your users open in Guitar Pro. Edits made in your app can go back to a database as JSON. The same synth that drives live playback can bake a study track to WAV. Everything on this page is a stable outbound path — pick the format that fits what you want to hand a user, a DAW, or a server.

Every capability below is available on Web, .NET, and Android unless a card names specific platforms. Follow any card into the reference for the exact signature.

Score formats

Export to Guitar Pro 7

since 1.2

Write `.gp` files with `Gp7Exporter`, wire the resulting bytes into a browser download.

Export to alphaTex

Serialize a loaded score to alphaTex text via `AlphaTexExporter`, with byte-buffer or plain-string output.

MIDI

Export MIDI

Write a Standard MIDI File from the loaded score — the browser one-liner and the cross-platform pipeline in one page.

Audio

Export audio to WAV

since 1.6

Render PCM samples from the score with `exportAudio`, encode the chunks to WAV, download or persist the result.

Model serialization

Score to JSON and back

Round-trip the in-memory `Score` model through JSON with `JsonConverter` for storage, transport, and web-worker messaging.
